WW1 French Patriotic Postcard of Zouave in talma.

The talma is a hooded-cloak worn by Zouaves in cold weather. It is composed of blue-gray wool, with a 4-piece body. The pieces each form a quarter of a circle. The hood is composed of 2 pieces, and rounded off at the top.
The hood's dimensions are:

The talma is closed by means of 4 wool tabs of double layers of wool. They are spaced about 130mm apart. The tabs on the right of the talma contain the black metal buttons, with corresponding buttonhole tabs on the left side.
